To Our Valued Customers:
The health and safety of our customers and our employees is our top priority during these unprecedented times. Keeping you informed of changes to our business that may impact your shopping experience is critical for Del Sol as conditions in the market are changing at a rapid pace.
We have continued to work closely with the Yuma County Health Department, as well as receiving guidance from our local, state and federal officials, including the CDC, by following guidance on best practices to keep a safe shopping and work environment in place.
Late today, we were informed of a second Del Sol employee at the 16th Street location testing positive for COVID-19. While the Yuma County Health Department has continued to advise us that it is safe to remain open for business and the protocols that we have established are following best practices, we feel it is in the best interest of our customers and employees that we temporarily close the 16th Street and 4th Avenue store to mitigate the risk of anyone who may be unknowingly asymptomatic spreading the virus.
It is a difficult decision, but we want to take tangible actions to make clear our commitment to the entire community in the face of this unfortunate situation that affects everyone equally.
All of our other store locations remain open and continue to serve you during this time.
We have implemented additional safety measures at all of our locations for your safety and that of our employees and we continue working directly with the Yuma County Health Department following their guidance and regulations, as well as from local, state and federal agencies, including the CDC and other health organizations for the safety of everyone.
Here are some of the additional steps we have taken:
-
Limiting the number of customers in the store
-
Hired new employees dedicated to sanitizing and cleaning the store exclusively, while the store is open to the public
-
Limiting shopping hours from 7am to 9pm daily
-
Establishing Senior and people at-risk shopping times on Fridays from 6am – 7am
-
Prioritizing disinfecting protocols from the CDC
-
Social distancing signs on the floor
-
Sneeze guards installed at check-out
-
Requiring employees to wear gloves and face masks
-
Ensure all workers know why and how to effectively wash hands for at least twenty seconds
-
Required workers to wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least twenty seconds, such as when they arrive at work, leave their workstation, etc.
-
Monitor employees for signs of illness and require sick workers to stay home. Ensure employees know the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 caused by coronavirus exposure
-
Instruct all workers on social distancing, handwashing, to discontinue and other store-wide safety procedures related to COVID-19
-
Advise employees on respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes and not touching eyes, noses, and mouths with unwashed hands or gloves
-
Prohibit sharing of utensils, phones, work tools, and other workplace items that are not sanitized
Thank you for practicing good social distancing while both outside and in our stores. Social distancing, washing hands and limiting shopping trips are critical to reduce the spread of the virus.

Gracias,
Administración del Mercado Del Sol
Dear customers,
We would like to inform you that given the situation we are all going through in the community, we are making an extraordinary effort to keep the supply of merchandise and prices affordable.
Unfortunately, our suppliers have had to raise prices due to the difficulty they also face in this situation and the urgency of bringing the merchandise to us and making it available to you.
Due to this shortage, we have decided, like our competitors, to limit the quantities so that the basic products can reach more families.
We hope you understand, we know that at this moment the most important thing is to think about the well-being of everyone, to follow the prevention measures and guidelines.
We will continue to do everything possible to supply the stores and make food and basic products available to you.
Thank you so much.
Del Sol Market is concerned with the unprecedented global challenges that we are facing due to coronavirus (COVID19).
We would like you to know that during this time, the health and safety of our customers as well as our team members is our highest priority, that is why we are monitoring guidance from local, national and global health organizations.
Effective Today, 3/17 we are closing our stores one hour earlier, opening hours now are from 7am – 9pm Monday – Sunday. This is to ensure our employees have ample time to restock, clean and sanitize the store.
We are working hard to keep our stores stocked and replenished as fast as possible to better serve you as we usually do, however, due to an unprecedented demand, we cannot guarantee in stock conditions for all of our items, therefore you may find that some items will be limited in quantities for purchase.
As a local family grocery chain, we are making decisions to improve the challenge we are facing to deliver the products you need at the fair pricing with the best service, unfortunately, we are dependent on our supply chain and they are are facing a challenge to replenish too.
Thank you for being a loyal customer and thank you for being part of our family.
